#2 on MSN - Is this for real?
Hello everyone,
Today I checked MSN, amazed to see that my site victorian-doll-houses-kits.com is ranking #2 for the words "doll house", "victorian doll houses", and one or two others. However, I definitely don't have more than 1 or 2 (at least quality) backlinks. It seems like MSN is ALL about ON-PAGE factors, and not much about off-page (links)? Also, I'm not seeing much traffic yet, shouldn't my above rankings be sending me a large ammount of traffic? Could my stats program be wrong? Looking forward to your insights and help, Thanks, Cory

cory,
actually msn relies HEAVILY on backlinks and also onsite factors.. you probably don't see it right now because your industry is not that competitive. chances are your stat tracking program is not wrong, but MSN is just not sending you a lot of traffic. that is most likely the case. MSN is also very easy to optimize for (especially in non-comptetitve industries) ... google is the real deal  ... get a #2 spot in Google and i'll bet you'll see some nice traffic-tg PS. MSN shows you have 37 backlinks which is probably more than enough.
