Talking #1 at MSN!

out of 97 million, for today at least ;0)

#1 for 'work at home, work from home, home work, at home work' and many more.

I am very impressed with MSN, and love the fact they are running tv commercials about their new search experience!

Thanks MSN!

I have heard about the advertising blitz that MSN was contemplating. I am not currently in the U.S. and would like some input. It sounds like MSN has started their ad campaign. Any feelings as to how effective it may be?

I have seen a few commercials thus far. Nothing fancy, but gets the point across. I definately have seen a big difference in traffic since then. I think they have a ways to go to get close to Google, but hey, you have to start somewhere.

Congratulations jdsalr, Nice job and I am glad that it has been worth the effort.

I have seen the MSN ads. They are short, 15 second spots, being repeated a couple times per hour on the major networks. They show you the search box and claim that they are great for search.

I think that #1 at MSN will be worth a lot more than it is now in the near future.

Since I moved my site to US hosting, I've been watching it climb in the msn serps for all my keywords. today I have virtually all #1s which is gratitfying. It's also bringing more visitors to my site which is nice.

I hope that these adverts continue and that they manage to convince people to use the searching facilities at msn.

I don't claim to have conquered a subject as difficult as yours, but I'm pleased to ba allowed to rank with a site which is less than less than 5 months old.

When I look at the results for my chosen search phrases, I see all the same sites that I see in G, but the main exception is that my site is also there. It gives me confidence.

NICE! We love to hear about success. Are you moving up any at Yahoo? Let us know when that happens!

Did you read my posts in the Yahoo section? I think you must have and, yes, that was the point of moving to a US host but nothing has yet changed on that front. Still not in yahoo.com and still at #7 in yahho.fr.

I think Yahoo takes longer than msn to reflect changes...

I am certain, though, that my positiion will improve in Yahoo - well, better than nowhere anyway.

I'll try and keep you informed.

Cheers

Thanks Egol. I also agree that good positions will become more valuable at MSN. I also figure once MSN's popularity increases in the SEO world, that a #1 position will be as hard to get as a #1 at Google. I am enjoying the limelight now, but I know it won't last forever...lol.
