The "perfect link"

I've been looking into SEO and link related forums and threads for a while and thought I'd see if the experts here agree with my idea of what the "perfect" link looks like:

1. Is from a domain with high PR and authourity, like a University of similar .edu or .gov site. Ideally the page will also have high PR

2. Is contextual, placed within a wider piece text, preferably near the top of the page.

3. Is from a page which is contextually related to the page the link points to. Ideally the site as a whole would be contextually relevant as well.

4. Is Do-Follow.

5. Is from a page which has few obl's

thats the shopping list as far as I'm aware- can anyoneadd anything signifiacnt?

Google places no preference on TLDs. .edu and and gov are treated the same with .coms. The only reason for their high PR and authority is that people usually prefers linking to them.

Agreed, I've gotten links from a few .edu sites (with no other paid links on them) and the improvements to ranking were just as varied as with any other link.
