So links to sub-pages are better?

So just to confirm that I am understanding this right, a link to the appropriate internal page is much better than a link to my main page. So if a site that is relevant to one of my sub-pages currently has a link to just my main page, I should contact it and ask them to change the link to my subpage, and change the text of the link to use that sub-page's target keywords?

As I just read an article of one of this forum's experts, it stated that 1 link to 100 internal pages is better than to have them all linked to a home page. However, consider my comment as only a rough quotation.

Hi Hrundel,

Could you give the link to that - I'd be interested in reading it.

Thanks.

You can find that particular article (and many other good articles in fact) on the website of Fathom.

I would not get the sites to change the links. Link history is also a factor and changing links useally is not helpful. But in a general sense yes getting deep links to relivant internal pages is a good stratergy...
