When i started to create this application the very first week i saw that googles crawls more than once the same pages the same day i had 70% unique crawled content that means for every 100 requests 30 had no reason to be done.Thats wrong i tried and trasformed my sites structure and now is 99.5% unique crawling.

Can u elaborate that theory re unique crawling a bit?

thx
Cri

Hi i doubt that he will ever reply you.He is not going to visit this forum again(i know him we are competitors/friends).But i can .This theory is based on fresh content.I dont know if it is applicable in all kind of sites but is definetrly in large sites.Google wants to give accurate information to users so a ranking factor is last crawled page(tested),this is very important cause data may deleted or changed a lot so when a lot of pages offering the same keywords g tends to rank better the last seen page.If u have 3.000.000 or more indexed pages and a crawl rate of 100.000 pages per day then 30% is a big waste of crawling.
