Sorry Webby,
I read "Discuss trading links with other websites" as "trade links with me" . won't do it again now that I know!
Cheers,
Jon.

thank you..i din't know where else to post
I agree with sardardolebole on one side and with Chief on the other side. People are unable to find links and not everybody can afford commercial services. Correct !!??
Sorry Webby
But I thought that my message and plan would be something new and interesting.....
thats the answer i was looking for down here.
Is it correct to assume that it would be inappropriate to PM persons in this forum (link popularity) to inquire about swapping links? I'm certain it wouldn't be welcome in the others.

But frankly, if I have ongoing PM conversations with others on say SEO advice (giving or asking) isn't link exchange part of that? ...in this "context" I see nothing wrong.
I find the "hey wanna swap links PM" a little offensive if thats all it is, but if someone PM's me and explains thouroughly,
I was just reading your post at "xyz thread" and I came to the relization that you and are in very similar non competing industries. My website is xyz.com I do this there, I am actively seeking only relevant link partners and I would like to extend an invitation for link exchange.
Then Im not to bugged and usually take a look at the site. The point is I dont feel like im being spammed because I know the user knows my site, has taken the time to read my post and explain why we're a good fit. I guess for me thats the difference

Fathom/SEO Guy, Thanks. I just started reading in here and thought that it would be discouraged but figured I'd ask. Thanks for the feedback, no sense learning the hard way.
