Developing links specifically for PageRank is a bit misguided. Develop for the topical awareness, weight and relevancy, and a little PageRank come along.

As a non-technical person, I started receivinng SEO fot the last 3 months. Our newly launched website (- Is this so heavy that you cannot optimise it well?) has relatively heavy contens so SEO people said it is not that easy to optimise ours but it has been working for major korean sites. As search engine mechanisms are different, so far as I know, major metasearchengines like google needs different approach so our SEO people reaped some success from it with a few search key words, I am not concerned about the instant result because I understood it takes much time.
But what's still sketchy to me is that whether exchanging official logos and links(reciprocal links) will do good for SEO result? Does it affect SEO? Will it prompt it by activating something? Last edited by Jasontnyc : November 17th, 2004 at 07:14 AM. |

I have seen a few decent link exchange forums around, but not an IRC chat that I would reccomend.

I agree 100%. You'd be surprised at how many links you get just for link popularity in your industry that turn into good traffic and sales. |

It depends. You need to develop links with other related sites. Not junk sites like herbal supplements or gambling sites. |

http://www.axandra-link-popularity-tool.com/ is great for finding links partners but I dont suggest you use it for building your directory. If you want to build out a directory you cant beat good old fashion handcoding. That way you can ensure each page you create has unique topic specific content and wont get dinged as a dup page while you're waiting to get partners on it
