More External Links

I feel that one of the hardest things to do is get external links, let suppose you have some good content on your website, not just buy me! buy me! buy me!

Does anyone have any top tips on getting more external links actively rather then just passivly???

Not link farms!

As I said to someone else before. I am using Zeus robot to scout around the net to find sites that I would like to link to and that I would like to be linked from and Then MANUALLY contacting them for a link exchange. That way you value add to your visitors experience by providing quality links and get linked by sites that can send you quality traffic. SE rating and PR are added bonus.
I am not affilliated with Cyber-robotics in any way.

How is the Zeus Program working for you? I looked at using that program on my payperclickcorp site but instead I am having LinkManager get all my links and they even set the link page up for me. I liked that because my main site consumes all my time and they are not charging me a whole lot.

I just started it so I hope it works out well, and if your interested in looking at it click here http://payperclickcorp.com/links/links.html

If you want more info feel free to ask.

Thanks,

I am on cable and Zeus used to run in the background so then I had to categorise and delete the sites that Zeus found and that I did not want, But Zeus found lots of sites within my own sites theme that I did not even know existed.
I think it is quite good but it does take a bit of time. On the other hand, if i would have had to look for sites, copy titles, description, and find emails my self it would have taken much longer. I spent most my time on content so Zeus (it is free) makes it easier for me (jeez, I sound like I am trying to sell it). BUT it does take a bit to train the robot to only concentrate on sites that you are interested in.
