<<<Link Question>>>
Hello, wondering about links... I have a 4 year old website, PR4 that I am thinking about adding links to. Right now I have about 150 links. If I add 500 new links all within a week, will this land me in the Google sandbox?

No, not in the (regular) sandbox, but unless your pages have a very good (topical, newsworthy) reason to be linked to that often within a week, it might trigger a bit of a penalty.
It may manifest itself as a devaluation of the 500 links for a given length of time (say - 2 months), or - if the 500 links in question look very spammy (and be honest here Tough call. Any way to get these links to appear a bit more slowly??? |

Are you talking about 500 links from 500 different websites on different ip blocks or a sitewide?

The google patent warned against the type of action you are thinking about.
Just think about it. You have had about 150 links for several years and you triple it in a day. Seems totally unnatural. Dave |

The quantity doesn't both me personally, it's the single IP and sitewide aspect that I think will get you slammed. Outside of that, you said the right words imho ;)
