Thumbs up Link Popularity Check...

I found a great Link Popularity Checker at:
http://www.marketleap.com/publinkpop/

When I punched in my website into the popularity checker, it gave the following results:

www.raytoons.tk
Alltheweb: 6
Google/ AOL: 2
AltaVista: 6
MSN: 2
HotBot: 1
Total: 17

It tells you how many websites have links to your website from each of the search engines.

Big deal. You really want a tool that digs down into those links and tells you about the anchor text pointing to your site or your competitors pages.

I think using a tool like this can get a marketer a good idea how many links they need to against their competitors. so Tools like this can be useful and also can be used to reconfirm work you are doing for a client...

I think rustybrick has some tools of his own.....see his signature links.

I do like marketleap, just for the psychic gratification of seeing my presence on the web grow and get some small affirmation for the work I'm doing...

a tool that I find really useful is McDar's Keyword tool, which shows how you rank and focuses on a number of the contributors to your ranking (allinanchor, # of pages, PR, etc.) http://www.mcdar.net/KeywordTool/keywordtool.asp
