Link Manager and PR
I use linksmanager to control my links....
The question is difficult You can host the link pages on your server or you can host the pages on thier server. when you host the pages on their server your url is http://www.linksmanager.com/your_name/links my question :if you get a link from a page hosted by thier server will You get credit for the page PR?(normally PR4) or is it estimated PR cause there is no cache for any of the links pointing to my site? |

hehe. i would not use link manager or any link exchange program. google actually does not approve artificial link boosting. you may exchange links with relevant sites, but you should definitely host your links file on your server. you should not push the limits and exchange with irrelevant sites. this may get u banned. also, most important point: do not go over 100 links in your links page. |

Well I host the link pages on my server so I guess its ok...
I use this tool in order to make my life easy not in order to find links most of the sites that use this service have low PR but when I see a site with good PR and relevant content its very easy to put the site link with the links manager program and to track if they posted your link. regardind your 100 links limit: do you mean to have less than 100 on each page or total of 100 links in all the site? my question was when you receive a link from a site that uses link manager but do not host the pages on thier server will you benefit from the PR shown on link manager page? |

i mean 100 links for a page, not for the whole site of course. see google's guidelines for webmasters http://www.google.com/webmasters/guidelines.html it reads: "Keep the links on a given page to a reasonable number (fewer than 100)." Quote:
as long as Google counts the page, you will benefit from it. but u said that there was no cache content. so, i am assuming that the page was not crawled or removed from the index. in that case, you cannot benefit from those links. overall, I believe google will ban linksmanager.com and similar sites since their sole purpose is artificial link popularity boost. also, if the member pages are dynamically generated, such as ASP or PHP with question mark in the url, there is less chance that those pages will be counted. |

Personaly I do not count link manager as a link farm
This program can be used to achieve links or to manage links everyone who has a exchange link strategy knows how much effort it takes to keep track of all your links, Links manager help you to manage your links take the trail and see how it works ..... |

I use linkmanager and it is a great tool to manage links IT IS NOT A LINK FARM
as to the question -- i have a few of my link partners that for whatever reaso do not host the links page on their own server however i have seen such links pages have PR6 and PR7s so i would asume this would carry over.
