Link Development Program

Hello guys.
I have a question about increasing backward links. Does everyone in here email to people manually for link exchange or use some kind of program? And if you guys do use a program, is that program any worth buying? I heard that ARELIS does some kind of Link Development. But not sure how it is...
Any feedbacks please?

I do all link exchanges manually.

Quality is better than quantity.

Quality to me means...
* relevance to my own site -- similar theme.
* quality site which will be useful for my site visitors.
* no link farms or tricky s/e stuff.
* desirable but not essential: GooglePR4 or higher.

Agree with domainsnow4u.

ARELIS can be quite handy for tracking down lots of potentials... but the problem only parses text... so you really take your chances if never looking.

In addition -- the "canned" link request emails are quite lame. Personalization may be slower but the results is 1000% better.

I have been working on links and am always looking for an easier, faster way, but came to the same conclusion as above.

You need to see the site you are linking to and the page they are linking from. I also don't link to a site that doesn't have the reciprocal link to me on their site, but on a links manager page.

link robot

Personally I thing using Zeus is quite good as it spiders the web in the background while you are online and then you have to, manually categorise the sites into themes that you would like to link to. Then you send them individual messages. This may seem like just another lame SE tactic BUT I have found lots of good sites to link to that way.
I am not affiliated with them. the site is Cyber-robotics.com I think. Just do a search.

I use Arelis and manual work too

Arelis can spend allot of time farming urls that you cant really use or wouldn't be of much use anyway, but its a nice way to speed things up a bit. Its also handy for finding companies for afiliate schemes too.

I just started using Zeus as an automated tool for this - about a week ago. I'm still not sure how I feel about using exchanged links - a lot of people using this tool seem to be making gigantic link farms. My intention is both to provide a usefull resource for visitors and to increase ranking. However it will be difficult not to be biased, as other sites with links back to you get highlighted, even if their content is not better.

If nothing else, I found Zeus to be a great tool to gather potential sites for link exhanges, or researching similar site, I'm not sorry I purchased it.

If you are interested take a look at the following sites, that are in development - see www.parenting-advice.net/ and click on the links button, everything from there down, the html is generated by Zeus, using templates I provide. Also http://www.blackrat.biz/links_foxpro/links_index.html .

If you are interested then you can do me a favor, and click on the Zeus banner at the bottom of the page, if you eventually buy the product, I get a commission.

I would like to hear how many webmasters in this forum delete automated link requests? I do, especially the ones that begin:

'Hi, I was just visiting your site www.in ....' etc.

That REALLY winds me up!
