Never use any Softwares, Automations tools for SEO and Link Building or related stuff. You could get penalized for SPAM of different types.

The point here is that all these positioning building and link building software are mostly hype for newcomers. Google's business depends on providing quality search results. If everbody can get top ranks by just buying these applications then would'nt we all be raking in moolah wouldn't we. And guess who are the first ones to buy these applcations and updates -- GOOGLE engineers!!

I had posted this on "Best way to build links". You can use ARELIS just to find the relevant sites, but do not use the application to build link directories


"There are plenty of ways to find links which are relevant. One of my personal favorite is to find out who your competitors are (which I believe you already have) and do a link back check on them. Contact all those site owners to provide a reciprocal link to you, of course you have to put up a link first to them. I maintain an excel sheet with all site names, urls, links page, contact info, contact date and result.

Give them about 2 weeks to reciprocate, you can wait a little longer if the site has a pretty good PR and the link page also has a good PR, that means the webmaster is getting too many link requests or he/she is just lazy as he has a good PR already and does'nt have to put that much effort.

Send them an straight and simple email address, indicating where on your site you've put thier link, and include your site info most people include html code, but I prefer simple text seperated in Title, URL and description (Category if they have one). As most of them use front end tools and will have to format the link layout. Contact them again after 2 weeks, if they dont provide a link back , and tell them that you will have to remove thier link, due to the unsually high links request you are getting ! . That usually gets an instant reply.

Or you can use a trial software I use sometimes, its called ARELIS 4 . It basically allows u to create a new project and you input your keywords and it finds the similiar websites with whom you can exchange links with. It also allows you to email the webmasters and has email templates for requesting a link too. But just use to extract the website urls and no more, do not use it to form link directories.

Or Just look up for similiar categories under google directory, the best part abou this is all the sites are listed along with thier PR's, so all you have to do is browse thru and send them link requests.

The Do's and Don'ts of Linking

1 ) Create your link directory to be tightly-Themed. DO NOT include listings unless they match the themes or subjects of your website.

2 ) Use proper logic and sense when choosing which websites to ask for a link. Do not link to junk sites or sites that are trying to trick the search engines. Only link to quality sites with quality content. Don't ask sites for a Reciprocal Link unless they have outgoing links or a link page.

3 ) Use good descriptive text and keyword phrases for the categories describing each Link Directory page. No more than 2 or 3 words.

4 ) Be sure the text words in the link pointing to you from your Link Partners, contains good keyword phrases that describe your web site.

5 ) Keep the directories clean of 404s or dead links

6 ) Keep your directory clean of 0 PageRank Google bar websites.

7 ) Follow these email guidelines:
If you are including websites in your Link Directory just because you want to send an send an email and possibly get a link, then you are spamming in mind and spirit. The webmaster who receives this kind of email is not a happy camper. This is spam. Remember the phrase reciprocal links? Please change it to Reciprocal Themed Links. This is important! Only send out reciprocal link requests to those websites that already have links on their websites AND are actively looking for more Link Partners. Send one email and if they don't want to trade links, DO NOT send them anymore requests that might bother them. Before you can send a reciprocal link request, you have to explore their web site, and decide if you want to include them in your link directory.
