Not quite. Perhaps you misinterpreted my inquiry. Let me clarify.

I was wondering if people have actually been finding domains and sucessfully redirecting the links.

Have the people using this technique seen the redirected links in their Google webmaster tools?




Because I spent hours searching for domains, but found nothing. I have since decided that my time is better spent creating valuable content.

I just wanted to see what others experiences were.

Because I'm not in love with any specific topic - the domains available define the topics I want... which is quite a bit different than only having a single interest... that said with any industry or niche there are 2 types of domains -- keyword and brand... and because keyword domains are often sought with SEO in mind they are gotten less likely to be released... so looking for brand domains is really what you want to find... and these also tend to be $5 - $25 domains because you can easily avoid a bidding war.

Also a thesaurus is good to have.

Although - "Hours"... you mean days or weeks... if all you did was hours - well how many "hours" do you write valuable content? ...

No offense, but I am actually looking for others that have used this tip with success. Obviously you have had success with it or you would not have put your name to the idea.
