How to Acquire High PR Links

Hello I have a PR4 pet related website and would really like to move up to the next level. I am submitting articles at the rate of 3/week and through time the articles are developing PR.

My question is related more to what I need to do to do to get some higher PR links thus increasing my PR. I would appreciate your suggestions.

Thanks much

My advice do not chase PR it is all smoke and mirrors. Chase SERPs... PR is influenced by any link. SERPs are mainly helped by relevant links.

Submitting articles is unlikely to help much with either PR or SERPs. To get quality links you need something on your site that others will choose to link to. Thus quality relivent content is the first step towards getting quality relivent links...

To get high PR you need as much as possible high PR backlinks. I am not sure if this is possible to achieve with article submission.
Maybe if lot of people is grabbing your articles from article directories and putting them to their main pages, but it is not very likely to happen.

If you really are concern about your site's PR. Maybe this one can help you.

Try to control the link flow of your site. This means that you need to be careful of your outbound links or exit links. If a page of your site doesn't necessarily need to have a rank like register page or about page then cut down the link flow coming from the homepage (or any other pages) to these pages. You can do these by deleting the links pointing to these pages(which I think not the best option to do) or you can add some code on the link tags pointing to these pages like the "nofollow" attribute.

Your site's pages are like containers where google pours water onto it every time a page gets voted. But this vote is useless if the container had some holes where water exits to other containers. Got the logic?

Hope it helps. Have a nice day.

Well 1st - chasing PageRank is a worthless accomplishment unless of course you're trying to sell links to people... then the more the better.

2nd - article writting and submission is a worthless activity especially if you are submitting to portals that accept submissions from "everyone"... the daily turnover of new articles [after yours] is so high it ensures that your article is worthless - to you anyway as the page linking to you is buried within a day.

3rd - as gazzahk noted SERP increases are what you want to gain and that usually requires a PR drop [getting less to your mainpage and getting more to your internal pages].

You're not really "wrong" just your actions are just misguided.

I have a link solution that would be extremely beneficial to you... in fact, I have 5 pet theme sites beyond an initial 20 properties for higher that average link quality.

It isn't free [but neither is what you are doing now]. Review the site listed in my sig.

I think it's really hard to get backlinks from high pr sites if you don't have a good site. The most important before we do that is to improve our own web sites.Make our own sites popular.

I agree. I have found my site linked on a few very quality sites before because there was an interesting article that somebody thought was relative and they linked to it. Create good content and you will get natural links. It may not be on a high PR site but those are hard to get. If you work hard on developing a great resource for people, you will get links without all the work.

I totally agree. I don't even pay attention to PR anymore. I have a website that gets a lot of traffic but you wouldn't know it from looking at my PR. I know of plenty of sites that have a higher PR than my site but they don't do as well with SERPS.
