How Google Calculate or Consider Backlinks

I am working on eCommerce website. I have created 500+ external links for my website with help of directory submission, social bookmark, article submission and forum post. Google have cached 200+ external links from it.

Now, I have read too many threads and posts regarding back links checking. I like one good suggestion regarding Google toolbar.

If I will search following term in Google so, It shows back links for specific web page. [As per my knowledge]

link:web address.

So, It shows only 4 back links as follow.

1st one is from SEO Chat.

2nd one is from Digital Point.

3rd one is from v7n.

& 4th one is from Sooper Articles.

link: web address.

Now, If I will make space after link: so, It shows 444 links.

So, Which one is back links of web page?

How Google calculate or consider back links of any specific web page?

Neither figure represents your true backlinks...

If you leave a space after "link:" the operator doesn't work
If you don't leave a space it DOES work, BUT Google will not return the true results; they will only show you a random sample of your backlinks.

In short - Google search / Google toolbar will not show an accurate backlinks figure; Google Webmaster Tools will show more information (BUT will also include "nofollow" links).

The best search engine for a true backlinks figure is Yahoo

Yahoo will not separate links for you. Bluebacklinks, Open site explorer, and backlinkwatch will show flags and more.

But for how long with the new Microsoft Yahoo search deal in place.

Majestic SEO is another possibility but you will have to pay a subscription.

I have used Blue Back links & looks like great.

Observed over there: I have submitted one article & approved. It shows in back link.

I checked Anchor Text column so, It shows Leather Office Chairs keyword.

I also added Office Chairs keyword with my home page link.

But, Leather Office Chairs is 1st on that web page & Office Chairs is on 2nd on that web page.

So, Will first hyperlink consider as a back link?

Will I get benefit with Office Chairs keyword or Leather Office Chairs keyword in search engine ranking?

If you are suggesting that you are posting 2 links in an article to the same page on your site, only the 1st link should count. If thats not what you are asking than your question is not very clear. (to me at least)

I have added two hyperlink in signature. Office Chairs hyperlink with home page. Executive Chair hyperlink with inner page.

So, as per your communication: Google just give benefit to Office Chairs keyword during indexing. Right ??

If not, so please suggest me alternative best method to do it.

I am little bit confuse with your answer. I can understand that such submission methods are time consuming & is not giving result as per our requirement. But, can you give me some specific answer for it?

Today: Again, I was doing R & D for back links. I Google for that & find out my own Forum thread.

I think people before me have given fairly good hints to your question. I will try again since you are not satisfied yet.

Link:url returns (or may return) a sample of your back links. If you actually have 200 then it may show 2, 4, 7, 23 whatever it feels like showing. Even if google is very well placed to allow that service they dont want you screwing their search infrastructure for anything that would not ultimately result in ads benefit.

for better results from the link: command try yahoo SE. For a more detailed backlinks analysis try any of those suggested by Brad Callen. ( Bluebacklinks, Open site explorer, and backlinkwatch) I have used only OSE though not sure if Brad has clandestinely put one of his services here as well. (LOL just kidding Brad.)

What happens when you put a space after the link: command?
It simply breaks the format and ultimately it becomes a search query which fetches results that have your URL in it or part of it.

Lastly How Google Calculates or Considers backlinks to a webpage.
Its the google bot. When it can index the WWW through the links did you not ever bother to think that it could also map the links. I mean maintain a Database that show what page links to what page. But unfortunately it does not share it with us on its Search Engine. You could give the Webmaster tools a try for a better backlink report. But that again is limited to the sites you own.
And as ClickyB or some one pointed out before it does not classify the links as dofollow or nofollow or image links or whatever. Just backlinks.
