Help on Backlinks

Hi!

I just want to ask if there is anybody here who can help me on how to track newly added inbound links and lost inbound links. I also need to know if this is possible. Is there a tool that I can use to generate this? Thanks in advance.

well i guess its hard to find that tool what you wants... but you can check your backlinks in different sites that checks links... You can also see what are those links that connects to your site/s or blog. Try submitexpress.com - I've been using it for a month...

Yahoo! Site Explorer is the best for this

Website: https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/
API: http://developer.yahoo.com/search/siteexplorer/V1/inlinkData.html

You can check ad hoc using the website, or write a script that would provide reporting and history using the API.

Would anyone be interested in such a script?

SEO Elite can be used. Not sure how good it is though as i have never used it. I primarily use yahoo's 'linkdomain:' and google's 'link:' functions

tens or thousands

How many links are you talking about?

Obviously using Yahoo would be easy if you only have a few links. Its tops out at 1000 so over that you would have a problem.

The folks over at seologs.com have an interesting backlink analyser tool which tells you all the uniques domains providing you links. Again it only works with 1000 backlinks.

Download the csv backlinks file from Google Webmaster tools, process with a comparison script.

Good idea!, thank you.

Is there also anywhere an online tool to track backlinks, that also works with more than 1000 backlinks?

it's a little bit difficult to download always the csv-list
