Domains with high link pop?

A while ago I spend about a month barricaded in my office searching for expired domains with market value. I came up with a few that had/have tremendous Link Popularity, but I'm not exactly sure what to do with them.

For instance, some company spend THOUSANDS of hours building some site at "LaunchBays.net", and then let their domain expire! So I picked it up. Low and behold, when I checked the link pop with MarketLeap, it came up as 799,000!! Now, this was almost 6 months ago, and I haven't done anything with it since then, and I just recently checked and it is down to 11,000 - which is STILL a considerable number. The problem is, what do I do with this domain to increase my PR or Link Pop on my main domain?

I have several domains like this that I found, all with considerable Link Pop. Any suggestions?

I'd check to see if they are quality links or simply farming links.

You could get the archive on what the page topics were before they expired and maybe you could put up similar content to preserve the inbound link interest. Without that they will slowly evaporate.

It sounds like something that might be worth preserving and might even have money-making potential.

Nice scoop.

Suggestions for what to do with this domain...

They seem to be quality, but I can't get to Alexa to check "inbound links" because it just points to another site of theirs...

Hmmmm... I really have no interest in recreational vehicles...

So basically, you're saying that if I put up a site similar to what was there before (something to do with RVs), I can fool Google just a little bit...

But if I have no intention of building an RV site for this domain, is there anything else I can do?

Hmmm, maybe just put up a one page keyword dense index.html with links to 5 or 6 RV dealers! :-D

Any other suggestions? Anyone want to buy a slightly used domain?

Which tool are you using to find expired domains? I am trying to find some good expired domain names with high link popularity so that I can supplement it with my weight loss website. Thanks!

Hmmmmm...I dunno if I should give that secret away.

Do me a favor and search for "recycled" and "traffic:, and then come back and tell me what you find and I'll tell you if you are correct.

Well shoot... I looked up both of the words you gave me in Google and Yahoo and I couldn't find anything with expired domains... I tried. Would you mind shooting me an email and letting me know? buyfleer@netscape.net

Thanks so much!

Alright... I am at the site. I have registered, but can't seem to find the tool that allows me to search for expired domains with certain link popularity. All I see is a link to deleteddomains.com and this will work except about 99% of the deleted domains don't have any links, so you have to manually search through all of them. Is there some other place on this site that I'm missing here? Thanks.

Try http://www.recycled-traffic.com, but you do have to do your research manually.

By the way, the service wasn't THAT valuable for the money, but after a membership and two days of research I picked up about 20 domains with good link pop and about 50 uniques a day each, and then I cancelled my membership.
