Really seems to be a Great list. but how many successful sites they have, means sites with error messages like page can't be displayed etc.

Are they all good? or are there some that you would recommend more than others?

When I am submitting articles should I be looking for anything in particular in the website that I am submitting to? i.e. page rank.

Ya, the list is quite exhaustive, but you have to sort that out, coz there will be lot of junk ones.

the major ones I use are EzineArticles, GoArticles and iSnare

While submitting articles, check to what extent do they syndicate their content. The main objective is not to get a single link from the article site but to get your article re-published multiple times (considering your article is of superior quality) giving you swarms of Inbound Links.

I was under the impression Google may only count one backlink if the article was syndicated.

Articles are great for deep links.

I actually just had a case where my ezine article is now ranking higher than the article on my webpage. I altered the title and content, it's at #2 for the keywords I was targeting, my site is at #3.

Can't complain when they do not place 'no follow' tags within the links.
