Article linking - for backlinks

For one of my client sites, Ive got an article im going to submit, its been formatted/written correctly and is nigh on spot on.

When i put in the anchor text to link back to the site, do i *have* to link back to the article page ie oursite.com/thearticle.html or can i still link back to just oursite.com

well, I thought when submitting articles, you get to put in an URL for the site. Most times it asks for the url of the article, but then wouldnt that article page get all the backlinks and do no good for the main site?

Obviously you can link back to your site...

Most article sites allow you to use 3 links. Link to your home page, and to two interior pages.

Check which of your pages are in the supplemental index, and link to those. That would be my advise.

Well....its better to have link to your main page as anchor text and also have link url of your article where it has been published at your site........

First thing is that you check out the article, and see that what it include, which keywords are targeted in your article and check out that on which page those are implemented. And you will get more benifit if you link back to that page.

It's really a question for the sites you're submitting to rather than an seo forum... but - as DanielR says, most article sites allow you to include 3 links.

If the page links to "home" then "any good" would also filter through to the rest of the site.

HI, quite new to this but ive started to write a few articles.

Do you know of or is there a list of sites which I can put my articles on? I know ezinearticles and amazines are two of the best and i have a few others too but are there any other particularly good ones and is there a list of lots and lots?
