I am new to this, its a geniune question, any help or advice on this subject gratefully accepted.

Can anyone please advise or recommend software for back links, I'm looking at instant backlinks, blog comment demon and
book marking demon.

The best software for backlinks is ur brain.
Those software wont give you any benefits, and they will put ur website in risky game.
look for links manually, add good content, and forget about software.

I think that MicroSoft Word is a good software for backlinks. You can use it to write kickass articles and it does spell checking for you.
