Advanced Link Popularity Analysis Tool - Comments Requested

I wanted a tool to analyze my links and the value of those links to a specific page. So I built one. I named it the Google Link Popularity Analysis Tool. This tool basically looks at all your links for a specific page (the links are determined based on the link command in Google) and analyzes them for anchor text, pagerank and more. Why Google? Well, they are the only one that offers a free API to "ethically" obtain the data. Of course that limits you to 1,000 queries per day (or 10,000 backlinks) but we are going to make a paid version that allows you to run a single report over multiple days.

The free reports show PageRank data, internal and external link counts, anchor text weights, class C IP reporting and much more.

Check out the Google Link Popularity Analysis Tool today, please leave your comments below on the tool. Thank you.

Oh, if you have a lot of backlinks, the analysis can take a while to run. Takes about one minute per 100 links because it needs to crawl the pages you are linked on and analyze them.

Very interesting, I thought that the last piece (PR values, averages etc) was pretty tight. I had a number of the links show up with no anchor text and when I checked the page they were there with the anchor text (not just forum sigs).

Pretty cool though, thanks.

This looks great. I'm not SEO sophisticated enough to fully appreciate all the information but I gather I can run this for my site and sites I compete against and measure one against the other on critical issues. In time I hope to better appreciate this information and other gems.

This forum is a killer to learn how to improve rankings, SERPs, and traffic, and stay out of trouble...its like an advanced degree. Thank you for your participation and guidance. Also some of the threads are remarkably amusing.

Thanks,

Dave

Yea, there are some bugs. I noticed several links on this forum that were not indexed.

I tried it twice and it hung on me both times ... or at least I think it did ... I waited about 5 minutes and the result page never displayed. Just got stuck with an hourglass.

Sounds awesome though. I'll try again tomorrow.

Surprised to learn how many links lacked anchor text. It would be great to see which links they were.

depending on the number of backlinks, it can take over 30 minutes.

It takes about one minute per 100 backlinks.

It needs to crawl each and every backlink page to analyze it.

Please be patient.

When using it I found the same thing as larrysart, unexpectedly high links with no anchor text, and it would be really useful see which links they are.

Otherwise, a really useful tool, I'm sure it'll get recommended to a many people in the future...
