    Seperate page for hard links

if i create a seperate html file linking to my main page with hard links, does it have the same seo affects as adding it to the main page? most hard link exchange scripts want you to add them first to your main page. is it because links get indexed faster on the main page or because sub pages do not hold as much water then the main page?

    Cool Depends

One reason to carry out Link exchange is to earn PR from the sites that are linking to your site. So, if this is the reason you are into link exchange, then check out the PR of the pages that's linking to your site. The one that has a better PR is the better one.
If your reason for link exchange is to pull in traffic from another site, then getting link from an Index page is good, considering the Index page of that website gets more visitors than the other pages.

adding your hard links to a seperate file named, friends.html, works just as good as adding the hard links to your main page for seo purposes? i'm working on building my back links & curious if adding them to a seperate html page that gets indexed from my main page will increase my search engine ranking.
