Smile Network of Websites and Sitewide Interlinking

Let's say you own 10 websites, all of the same relevance (eg. all sports websites). We'll call this your "network" of websites.

What would then be the best link building strategy between these websites that you can think of?

I'm aware that there are lots of people for and against the idea of sitewide links, but if you have a lot of websites which could be linking to each other surely NOT having them link to each other is a bit of a waste?

Perhaps one idea is to have website A link to B, and B link to website C, and then finally the last website link to website A?

Or, could just have all websites linking to one another on all of their pages, or just on one page (eg. homepage or a "links" page).

    Your thoughts and ideas? Thanks!

    hi
if you're network of websites are of different page ranks, then the lesser page rank sites could benefit from linking a to b, b to c etc. if you have websites linking back to one another (reciprocal linking), then this will not add any weight to you link building strategy as google favours one-way inbound linking from authority websites

So basically, higher PR linking to lower PR = benefit - however lower PR to higher PR = no benefit -- and if high and low PR link to each other (reciprocal) than there is also no benefit? Is that right?

Also, would the reciprical linking still increase the number of pages indexed, since every time a Search Engine (eg. google) sees that link it will follow it through to that website and index links on that page - is this true?

Definately not advisable to do this interlinking if all the sites are hosted on the same IP - Google will see it as a link farm
