Are there some who have tried google Disavow tool?

Does it work on your raking?

That's a pretty vague question.

I've used it for clients who previously had trouble getting rid of a manual unnatural links warning. It has worked to get rid of the warning (manual spam action revoked) in most cases.

For some sites there hasn't been a dramatic ranking increase. There are two possible reasons for this:

1. The linking practices that caused the manual warning to be applied also caused the site to be affected by Penguin. If this is the case then we should see some improvement once Penguin refreshes.

2. The site may have only been ranking on the benefit of spammy links and now that they're disavowed may not rank again.
