getting new link partners without any work

I'm with a service at linksmanager . com and I love this service because they send me new link partners everyday through their linkpartners service. What is good about this is that I don't have to do any work, these people that want to link to me search for my site through the linkpartners directory and automatically link to me, then the system emails me and asks if I want to return the link.

My question to everybody is do you know of another service like this were I can get even more links per day this way? I pay $20 a month for the service and would be willing to do it with another service or two also. Any places you guys use?

I use Link Partners (but not the manager service) and PowerLinks. With PowerLinks, for $10 a month you get an entire directory with each listing linking back to you. You can host the directory as part of a page on your site, or let PowerLinks host it on their site.

I would go with the ‘host on their site’ option. You create one link from your home page to the page on their site that has the directory, your title, and your logo. This page links to about 3500 sites. Each of them links back to you (provided they haven’t filtered out your category or site).

If you want to see what it looks like, go to my site at: http://www.audience-response-rentals.com/ Lower right of page is my PowerLinks page. Click it and observe the url in the address bar. If you click the ‘trade links’ link, it plants a cookie and takes you to PowerLinks home to sign up. If you do, I get $10 for the referral, which pays for a month. Everyone gets the same referral deal when they sign up.

I have found that it takes a couple of months for G, Y! and M$N to credit you with all of the inbounds, but I prefer it that way any way. It lowers the possibility of a ‘too many too quick’ filter. You can kill entire categories (casinos, weight loss, etc) which is great. Also, a lot people have 2,3 or more accounts for the same site, just in different cats with different anchor.

I’ve noticed that G does not seem to be indexing directory pages that are hosted on the subscriber’s site itself. I don’t know if they used to, and now don’t or if G never did. But know that of the 3500 links they advertise, you’ll get 1000 or more on M$N and Y! for sure. And, PowerLinks continues to grow nicely.

    very interesting. A few questions:

    1. Do the 3,000 + links all come in within a week or two? Can you spread them over a month or two?

    2. How many of these links actually link to your homepage?

    3. after the intial thousands of links, how many new links come in per month?

Can you tell me more details about this service? I would be happy to signup under your referal link

Definitely... See my signature. Linkmetro.com is 100% free to sign up. You immediately have access to thousands of other people wanting to exchange links as well. You can browse through the listing and see that some people have aquired over 100 links within the 3 months the site has been up.

    Hi, All!

Hmm...does that pass PR or do you get any unique visitors from that Link Partners program?

How long have you been a member?

When I look at your link popularity I see this and not near 3500 bl's?
    Google - 105
    Yahoo! - 858
    AllTheWeb - 845
    AltaVista - 873
    MSN Beta - 1004
    HotBot - 105

Just a little skeptical of some of these paid programs.

Now, I have just started to use Brads program, and that seems to work.

First let me say that my primary reason for using the PowerLinks directory is for traffic. The industry that I'm in is very small and so I need exposure and traffic from as broad a base as I can get. I get about 100 unique visitors a day, and about 20 are from sites in the PowerLinks base.

    1. It takes 2 - 3 months to see much change to link counts for most SEs. You can turn off entire categories and turn them on if and when you choose. You can do the same with specific sites in each category. So you have full control over who you link to. There is also an option to 'disallow new sites until I review them'. I use that option, and occassionaly login, review sites, and then allow them or not.

    2. All sites that you 'keep' (as opposed to 'remove') link to whatever url you specify in your directory listing.

    3. I don't really know because I don't allow automatic inclusion. My guess is 100-200 per month. But, a lot are casinos, prescription drugs, weight loss etc,. So I allow about 50 per month. I started in mid-August 04. At that time there were about 700 listings. Today it is about 3800. A second listing is only $5 a month. So many sites have 2 or 3 listings in different categories.

What I must add to this is that it appears that G is indexing fewer directories that are hosted on the subscribers asp/php site. The fact is, I've seen many directory sites across the board with internal pages that are not cached. I get about 6 requests a day from Link Partners sites and when I visit their link pages I find that 4 out of the 6 are not cached. So, is it a PowerLinks issue, I don't believe so.

But for example, I added a new site about Feb 1 05. Today, Y! shows 325 links for the domain. Other than PowerLinks, there are maybe 5 or 6 links to the site. But if all PowerLinks were being indexed I should see at least 2000 by now.

Still, for $10 a month it is well worth it in my view. The way I figure, I'm buying traffic. If any link value comes along too, that's fine.

    pteam,

BTW: your thread starter is really about link exchanges with little or no work. That's why I brought up PowerLinks. All new listings are automatically added to the directory, unless you choose to review them first.

Yes you are correct, I'm gonna signup for that service under you. It seems like you are getting defensive... I don't know why I like the idea.

Didn't mean to seem defensive. I'm happy with it. I just wanted to stay on topic and to reinforce for others reading this thread that PowerLinks is not some magic bullet that provides thousands of links immediately.

It will provide traffic, it will provide link partners, and it is little or no work.... In my view, it's a good deal.

    Thanks....

    longcall911,

Is there any way to configure powerlinks to where you can link to the links page from your links page instead of my homepage? My links page is the same PR as the homepage.

If you want IBLs to your home page and use home as the target in the listing you publish, then the PowerLink must be from home. You can deep link to any page, but your PowerLink must then appear on that page.

I'm heading for the airport shortly and will be offline for a while...

Further looking over the program, I read this:

"Choose the option of either reciprocal or one-way linking. If you prefer to have incoming links to your website that are non-reciprocal, you can choose to have us host your links page on our servers. Since your links page will be on our domain, the links on it will not be considered as reciprocal links by the search engines. Try out our free demo account today and see what we have to offer."

Why would you choose reciprocal when you could have one-way links to your site...seem that would be the way to go?

    Thanks,
    Joe

But if you then link to your links page from your own domain, wouldn't that make it a recip again. Triangular at best.

This method could work if you optimised your links/resources page as if it were a separate domain. That said - you can do that yourself...

    Am I missing something?

Heres what it does my powerlinks pages is like 2083022douds.powerlinks.com thus its its own subdomain. I link to that page. Then every other powerlinks user either links to me from their own subdomain of powerlinks or their actual .com homepage. So I guess they are all one way links because I am not linking to thei .com homepage my powerlinks subdomain is, and when the other user uses a subdomain of powerlinks it is also a different domain I have not linked to that is linking back.
