    Geographic location and backlinks

Hi everybdoy I need to ask you one question please.

My domain is .com and I set my geographic location as UK, do i need to get backlinks only from UK websites or will it be better to get backlink from both .co.uk and .com (international) theme related websites?

    Thanks

Both if they are theme related. The more the merry, I say.

You can never have to many backlinks, provided you don't over use any one anchor text. (penguin food)

    Hi JMO

    I appreciate your quick reply,
One more question please, when we say contry specific domain name, what does it mean please?

For example, a website aaa.com and its country hosted in Pakistan. Then we set the geographic location as UK. Now will it be considered Pakistani based website or UK based website?
What Google boat will consider it, Pakistani or UK based?

FYI JMO = Just my opinion

I am under the impression .com can be anywhere and that you can specify the location in Google Tools.

If aaa.co.uk then expect uk english, example optimization vs optimisation. I would expect the same for other domains as well.

    Hope this answer helps.

you can target a .com website to UK but if it is hosted in UK then definitely it has some advantageous.
