Wordtracker Location specific - confused results , long phrases inaccurate

Hi, I just got started on a 1 week membership with wordtracker, I'm also trying to use google keyword tool external, overture and keyword universe like many of you recommend.

I know that wordtracker pools the majority of its data from the US right? For example, I was doing a search and I found some service that seemed to be in high demand in a particular state (people are searching "..... (state name)", with the 24 hr count at around 400 for a few terms all related to each other, and KEI values in the thousands. However, this seems to be happening for a few other searches as well. Is it because the data just happened to be gathered that way, such that for that particular service, wordtracker took its data from that particular state? Cos I don't see how only people in that 1 state want that service and no one else does!

Also, I've been finding some long phrases, I can't see how thousands of people would be searching for the exact same 10 word phrase in a 24 hr period! It must be some other kind of search right? Through a site or something?

Last question : I'm getting very mixed results from the different keyword tools. For example, for the state specific search I was doing, I was getting around 250 for the keyword in overture (around 500 including related keywords), around 400 for wordtracker, but nothing at all for keyword discovery. As for google adwords keyword tool, It has about 30% bar highlighted for average search volume but 'no data' for october search volume. I don't really have a good gauge on these results, should I pursue this keyword, or drop it because it's state specific and more likely the keyword tool results are skewed?

I know these are a lot of questions, but please help me

As far as I know, WT's data is gathered mostly from dogpile.com and metacrawler.com (which together hold a market share of ~ 1%) and that means all searches performed on these SEs, no matter what the location of the searchers is.

Those are predictions on how many searches will be performed for a given keyword during the next 24 hours on all search engines, but please note those are predictions .

That's absolutelly normal because each tool uses data from different sources.
