What to do with hundreds of keyphrases
Hi,
I use Awstats to log web information. I have hundreds of different keyphrases every month from search engines like G, Y and M. How can I use these keyphrases to improve my website or draw more traffic? Thank you |

As for ur question regarding how to use them, the answer is simple, the way you are using your other keyphrases you can use them too. On the other hand, i have never used awstats but i can tell from the usage i have made from Google analytics or webmasters tools, that not all those keyphrases are worth using. Even if a handful of searches are made from those phrases, they are logged. I'll suggest you to opt for those that you think might genuinely bring some traffic and are consistently appearing in your logs with a decent amount of traffic stats with them. May be they are worth adding and you may have skipped them in your keyword analysis.....

If you are getting hundreds of visitors per day from a term where you rank at #9, imagine what traffic you would get if you ranked at #2?

Absolutely! I would use those keywords on the content of the pages to target long-tails and improve my traffic out of them. They will also give you an idea of the anchors that you should be using for your backlinking campaigns.

If you have those traffic, do you think those phrases "convert" , i mean turn visitors into customers? This is important to consider.

You can use it for Long Tail PPC fodder, as well as what EGOL said. Which top two and three word phrases are brining the most traffic? Check your position on those, if you are #6 under one phrase, try to get to #1 and enjoy that low hanging fruit of added traffic. |

TRy this
.
This does seem to take far too long to get this kind of information but some of the recommendations in previous post may work.

Check on those phrases if they're looking for something that your site can't provide exactly.
Do a research and write great content to help them. If you don't know how to write, outsource them. |
