I have used Wordtracker system for the past month and have found it a tremendous resource to get great words that are not used much by the competition. I never would have found these words without your help. I look forward to using this search system for the next year to great advantage for my own sites and for client sites to get the best words for search engine and directory placement.
What do you think about this system? Aff Dan, SEO Editor <edit>by fathom, reason: link removed</edit> Last edited by fathom : June 10th, 2004 at 06:21 AM. |

Aff Dan, yes it is a good tool. However, IMO, the key is to determine if the lesser used kw's will generate sufficient traffic that will lead to conversions. If so, then go for them. Placement in the SERPs is important, but more importantly is to place high for kw's that will generate traffic that leads to sales.
If your primary kw's are super competitive and you have difficulty in placing in the top 10-20 for those, then definitely go for the minors. Once you feel you can go for the majors... that is usually where the money is. Of course it is dependent upon the product and pricing strategy of that product. Search hit volume is good for higher priced/margin products, but not as essential as lower priced/margin products with a volume strategy. Our strategy is, regardless of price or margin, is to go for the top 5 positions.
