Question Search count of a keyword

Hello everyone,

I use Word tracker and Google keyword tool for keyword research. Most of the times Google keyword tool shows searches happening for a particular keyword but word tracker show nil search count for the same keyword.

Based on search count I decide to take or omit the keyword. So every time I end up in confusion with word tracker and Google search counts.

To calculate KEI also I need search value, Google shows good competition but according to word tracker no searches happening.

So do you think I should take the keyword which has no search value according to Word tracker but searches happening according to Google keyword tool.

Hope I am clear.

Thanks in advance.

Hello Sally,

First you need to understand why the results differ between WordTracker and Google, Google displays keyword stats based on the searches being made in it.

WordTracker on the other hand collects its data from various meta search engines and so word tracker will always show a lesser search count for a particular keyword.

I would suggest that you use the Google Adwords Keyword Suggestion tool along with this tool http://www.seotoolset.com/cgi-bin/checktraffic.cgi from Bruce Clay which will give you the estimated number of searches for a particular keyword.

Sorry for the late reply. Still i feel Google keyword research tool is more reliable bcoz it as region wise search but not in word tracker.
