Opinions On This Keyword

My Brother in law runs an air conditioning company. Hes been telling me he wants to seek business in a new line of work. Hes given me the keyword and it appears theres only 1 million pages on the subject at the moment.

How easy would it be for me to help him out with this. I can optimise on page for him as his current website is really poorly optimimised.

The keyword is

"Air Sourced Heat Pump Boilers"

How realistic would it be for me to try get him onto first page ? I note there are similar phrases with far less competition. Should we go for this search term or localise it with his city name ?

Looking at his site now it is unoptimised for anything and his hosting spends more time down then on. Would onpage optimisation help or would we be looking to spend cash on links and maybe outside help ?

Just out of curiosity, if we had a budget - how much would someone be charging to help us with this ?

Best rgards - Glenn

Actually if you search for "Air Sourced Heat Pump Boilers", there are only two results. If you remove the quotation marks, there are ~125 000 results which include everything you can imagine related to air, sourced, heat, pump, boilers.

Do you subscribe to wordtracker so you can consolidate and optimize for several associated phrases

First thing you want to do is ensure you are targeting the right keywords, because if no-one is searching for it, being no.1 in Google is not going to be much use.

The term you mention is very uncompetitive, so you could compete with that very easily, but you need to use some keyword research tools first to establish the keywords that are highly relevant to your website and actually searched for via the search engines.

Try
Google Adwords Keyword Suggestion
Wordtracker
Google Trends
Hit Tail etc
