both have their strengths and weaknesses - you need to use them in combination...I for one am too lazy to use wordtracker - so I usually stick with Overture

Thanks for the info.

One more question? Do you need the paid
version of Wordtracker or is the free option
good enough to check keyword if you use
Overture.

personaly i use word trackers free version to get an idea of how i will attack a site and then before i build the site i will use the paid version. This can be a great tool if you use it a couple of days and learn all its features. Yes, it can be alot of work but doing you homework can pay off.

Its nice to know if you have a target keyword that is much used....

They (wordtracker) can give a hint for words....but the simple words
are always best...

So depending totally on Overture or wordtracker might give you a number one position...on the less competitive word found by wordtracker but a keyword realized by logic thinking is still the best.

So i take the competitive words....and throw it all in the battle for the No1......(just in case you should the same target words....i never give up..not my nature )

regards, hans

This is why I prefer overture - put your root in (in my case it's business plan) and see what else comes up. Some words that came up on that list for me were actually much more targeted to my needs, and now I am top 5 or 10 for those relevant keywords.

Why is it that overture never lists words with a s?

Example :

Pot Plant instead of Pot Plants ? Never lists the s?

Hi Kruger,,,

I noticed this also...this is where the logic thinking comes again in place since it's 100 % sure that some words need an S to sound more logical..

Overture

Overture doesn't make a distinction between plural and single thus doesn't list anything it considers to be plural instead opting to use the singular instead.

Hello to everybody.

nhynes57, you may want to check this URL for another keyword miner:

http://www.nichemarketresearch.com/

Their tool is called NicheFinder. It is not free but affordable compared with other keyword miner tools and of course, you can have your money back if you're dissatisfied. Sounds like a sales pitch but it's not.

Yes, I second what kruger asked. The Overture suggestion tool concatenates (is this the right term?) all queries with s's. Why is that? Wordtracker does not (or so I think).

Send a message via ICQ to fraggle
if you are a user of adwords in google you can use their search suggestion tool - although it doesnt give numbers theyobviously want you to select useful words so they take revenue from them.
