Keywords argh!
I have a big problem figuring out which keywords people are using in my sector of business.
Keywords which I think are going to get me loads of hits usually get me very few. Anyone know of a website which will assist me in the selection of keywords? |

Another great newer tool is at www.digitalpoint.com along with a keyword tracker and many other useful tools.

Try Google Keyword Popularity Calculator, works well for unusual keywords.

Some nice tools, but I tell you the most effectice is WordTracker, one should have it if your budget is a little more, or you can take help from your friends who are using it.

Nice calculator, but some of the results are very far off. For a certain keyword I tested I know for a fact that the estimate is atleast by a facor of four too low.

I loved the tool suggested by the Zoolander himself. Gives a terrific overview.
I've looked at all the tools for my keyword phrases and some potential related keyword phrases. Lots of wild differences in some of the reports. In one case Dajaone's tool was amazingly close for one of our keyword phrases with the overture tool only being off by a factor of about 15. On other cases I had to doubt Dajaone's numbers. Only google, yahoo, and MSN know the answers and they ain't talking. In my area MSN does't do anybody diddlysq**t. Zoolanders suggested tool gives a wonderful overview. When we looked into an area where we would like to expand our marketing - the reported google backlinks were incredibly varied with one having about 70 times the backlinks (per google) as another. Lots of mystery in this stuff. |
