I run a Legend of Zelda site and I am obviously wanting to rank for the phrase

"Legend of Zelda"

However I have heard that words like "of" will not be included when sites are spidered. So should I optimize for "Legend Zelda"

No... You heard/understood wrong or were misinformed!

Google may ignore common words in search terms, but exact matches can still include them.

General "rule of thumb": If it's most likely that searchers will include the word, so should you.
