Keyword search help needed

Hello Everybody
I manage the website for my cleaning company It's Time to Shine. The site has been up for about 4 months. I have been testing keywords in google to see which combination has my site on the first page. The strange thing is that only "house cleaner barrie" has me on the first page. Using "house cleaner(s)(ing) barrie" gets me nothing, I have gone 10 or more pages deep with no satisfaction. House cleaner(s)(ing) are keywords found in my meta tags. I am not at all sure why cleaners, cleaning would not have me close to or on the front page. Your thoughts are much appreciated.

Peter

When you talk about Meta Tags, what do you mean? If you are referring to Meta Keywords and Meta Description, be aware that these are not ranking factors any more. Your Meta Description can help improve click through rates, but will not affect your ranks. The Title Element is often regarded as being a Meta Tag. This is the most influential on page element and if used well can develop ranks alone for low competition terms.

You need to develop some backlinks using the terms you want to rank for as the anchors. This will most certainly yield some results.
