Keyword Related Domains
Hi there people (Morning)
Another tool http://www.domainit.com/keyword-search.htm This tool is like you type in your most important keyword in the search box, and it gives you around 50 different domain names that will be good for ranking. I think it's quite a good tool who do their internet marketing using many diff. domain names like ME http://www.register.com is another one... Thanks.. Great Day |

From everything I have read and studied (I have been at this for about 3 months now), your domain name has no effect on your PR or you ability to rank high for certain search terms. I could be wrong here and I am always open to criticism, but i do not think the domain names matters in the slightest.

I agree with Gothman, I have found no link (pun intended) between PR and domain name. I have tested this theory and do not believe there to be any PR advantage.

PR and domain name choice have no relationship. PR is a measure of connectivity.
I do think that keywords in your domain name can help your rankings if not taken to excess. I think that bluewidgets.com or blue-widgets.com are good choices. A few months ago I would have gone with the hyphen, but I believe that at least google is starting to parse keywords out of unhyphenated domain names.

having the right domain name makes it easy to get inbound links with your primary keywords in them. I rank well for the term "seo book" on every single major search engine because my site name is "seobook.com" and most people link to me using "seo book" as the anchor text.
it is worth thinking long and hard to pick a brandable keyword rich domain name. i wrote an article about it earlier this week. http://www.webpronews.com/ebusiness...AnchorText.html |
