Keyword position

Keyword position
Hi all,

I have a query.

How long I need to wait to see results of my SEO effort on Google search.

I have implemented SEO for a site, I have heard the results are not immediate it takes time. Especially i want to check keyword position (SERP), on which i have optimized the site.

For core keywords the site should show at least in the top 30 pages , am i right? If it doesn't show up does that mean i need to change the keywords.

How u judge that, the keywords u have used are working well and generally what results u expect from ur main keywords?

If for a long time you are not able to find out your site in ranking, you should do:
1. A research on the optimization process to figure out whether your optimization techniques are good enough for your targeted keywords. May be you are missing something and need some improvement there.

2. If your optimization process is fine, then you can do a further keyword research to find out whether you are targeting right keywords or not.

If your keywords are giving you targeted and loyal visitors, thats mean you are on the right track.

Sometimes you can find that a site is ranking good for targeted keywords,but net result is "0". In this kind of situation an extensive keyword research is needed.

But i think always i should keep some target to achieve and i don't know how much? Just confused on that part.

Keyword research is important before optimization.find keywords according to high search volume and relatively low competition. after that if you apply seo techniques to optimize your website It might be possible your site will be get ranking soon in serp.
