That's a pre-historic SEO term...don't worry about it

Keyword Density

Keyword Density
Measurement used by Search Engines to help determine the strength of a web site for a given keyword. The measurement is the number of occurances of a keyword on a page divided by the number of words on a page. More is not necessarily better, as search engines look for a certain ratio rather than the highest ratio.

Following link will help you to determine the keyword density.

As rightly said by pro_seo,it is a pre-historic SEO term.
When ever you are working on the content don't think about keyword density, just implement that what you feel useful for your visitors.

Say you have text with 100 words and a one-keyword phrase that appears 5 times in this text, then i suppose the keyword density will be 5%.

The concept of keyword density is:

Repeat keywords within your document only as many times as it is required to make a good, grammatically correct and enticing copy which will be enjoyed by your visitors.

In highly competitive sectors, you are going no where by tweaking your keyword density.

Concentrate on the other important factors instead such as branding and getting relevant one-way links with appropriate anchor texts.

They should update their knowledge.
BTW,I really want to know who they are.In this forum atleast I never found any experts are suggesting this.
Although I don't think a person need to be an expert to know that the keyword density in the content is a wrong concept nowadays.

In low competitive sectors you may get away by stuffing a bit of keywords, but you aint going no where with that on highly competitive markets...coz keyword density is not a major ranking factor in Google.

It is obvious that your document will contain the keywords on which it is created.

For example - A document on "green widgets" will automatically contain the word "green widgets" a couple of times, that's natural density - in order to maintain on-page relevance.

But repeating the words unnecessarily without a thought and just because some SEO "Experts" have suggested to increase your keyword density is not the smartest thing to do IMHO.

Keyword density is one of the easiest things to manipulate and hence largely ignored by Google
