Is this keyword SPAM?
Hi there SEO gurus!
I have a apartment rental site which offer apartments for rent in Rio de Janeiro. I have a quick question about how to chose the right keywords for my website www . apartmentinrio . net Can you please point me in right direction if this is keyword spam or not? Did a Keyword research with Google Keyword Tool and found out the top 10 keywords related to my site which bring most traffic. Keywords, Global Monthly Search Vol. apartments rio, 18100 rio apartments, 18100 apartments rio de janeiro, 9900 apartment rio, 8100 rio apartment, 8100 apartment rio de janeiro, 3600 apartments in rio, 2900 apartment copacabana, 1600 apartment in rio, 1600 apartments ipanema, 1600 At the moment I have this meta data on my first page; title: Apartment in Rio | Vacation Rental Apartments in Rio de Janeiro description: Apartments for rent in Rio de Janeiro for tourists and businessmen. Great locations in Arpoador, Copacabana, Ipanema and Leblon. keywords: apartments rio, rio apartments, apartments rio de janeiro, apartment rio, rio apartment, apartment rio de janeiro, apartment copacabana, apartments copacabana, apartment ipanema, apartments ipanema, apartment leblon, apartments arpoador Regards Prisonbreaker |

Hi,
The tags are fine. The KW metatag would be spammy if it mattered, but - since it's ignored by all the major SE's - it probably won't hurt (nor will it help you).

No... Keyword density is as pointless as the keyword metatag! (Both are a complete waste of time)!
So long as your primary KW's exist in your page title (and - preferably - in your "on-page titles"... H1/H2 etc) and your secondary kw's exist somewhere on the page/site (although it isn't actually necessary for the terms to be on the site at all) and (most importantly) in your incoming link anchors, you're on the right track |
