Initial keyword research for Personal Development blog

Hello.

I'd be very grateful for a little advice.

I'm doing initial keyword research for a new Personal Development blog I'd like to start.

I'm quite confused with all the reading I've done and would be grateful for any tips on how to begin my keyword research.

I'm not expecting anyone to do any work for me as I'm keen to learn to do it myself- but I'd welcome pointers to help me start.

Have a look at the blogs similar to your theme and performing well in the search engines.....this will give you a basic idea of how to start with.....

Start with a few keyphrases pertinent to your blog and gradually move towards the more generic ones when you start to do well with the long tails after consolidating on them....
