Google Adwords innacurate?
I have been checking the number of monthly searches for some specific keywords and noticed a huge change in numbers. Is that normal for Google Adwords?

I don't know whether it is normal or not, but it is perfectly feasible and I would expect it for certain terms. Remember, many keywords will be subject to natural and seasonal trends which will affect the amount of traffic such as people searching for 'ski holidays'.

Thank you so much for your help. The keywords in question were pets miami and pets florida.

If you are talking about the stats from the keyword tool, keep an eye on whether you have broad, phrase or exact match selected at the bottom left of the tool. Because when you run a keyword search with only broad selected, the tool will display vastly inflated statistics.

Use the figures as indicators. You can spot big-time keywords but basing a traffic estimate off of any one tool is risky. Keep in mind that they are only estimates.
Are you using this specifically for your adwords campaign?

no not at all, i think you've quoted the wrong person though.
its good for keyword ideas that maybe you missed. and "x in y" gets more hits than "find x in y" but or "x in z"

As indicated previously, one of the key factors when searching using adwords, is to make sure that you utilise only the exact option. Otherwise any search term that includes the word is also included within the figures, which greatly enhances and inflates the figure.
