4-word phrases

i am good at optimizing for two-word and three-word phrases.

but, when it comes to 4 word phrases, it cant achieve it.

what is the key point?

i am using the relevant 4 keyword all together a few times and also seperate keywords through out the page.

any ideas, suggestions, experience...

The theory is exactly the same as for 2 and 3 keyword phrases, so it shouldn't be a problem.

The most important things to remember are the title, the page header and links to the page. Make sure your keywords are in the title, right at the beginning, and also in header tags. If you can get links to the page using the 4 keywords as the text, that will also help a lot.

Gringo.

That's interesting .. 2 & 3 word phrases are usually harder than 4 word phrases. Are these 4 word phrases particularly competitive?

doh!

i know that 4 phrases should be easier.

4 keyword phrases are not competitive at all.

i do not optimize the index.html for 4 phrase keywords, because the target audiance is relatively less than 2 phrased keywords.

so, i optimize the inner pages for 4 keyword pharses. i cant do doorway pages, so there are some limittations. such as using the 4 keyword phrase as the link text. it won't look good on a normal page.

the actual problem i believe is this: my 'competitive' sites for 4 keyword phrases does not even show up in top 10 for 2-word-phrases nor 3-word-phrases. The reason they show up for 4-word-phrases is the PR of their page and site.

I guess I have nothing to do to prevent losing the little % of the traffic.
