If you sells new cars only then "newcarsales.com" is good but if you sells olds cars also then "car.com/new-car-sales" is good.
if there isnt much competition for New car sales then go for car.com/new-car-sales and if yes then you better go for newcarsales.com
newcarsales.com is better, its easy to recall......Originally Posted by Simonee
Hypothetically let's say you had car.com THAT would be better bar none because the root domain is HIGHLY brandable.
When you get a domain you do so on the concept of BRAND and not for SEO purposes.
it always better to categorize your products on the basis of different features. like you can have your main domain as cars and then according to the category you can add pages as the name of the categories. like car.com/fresh-arrivals , car.com/used-cars etc etc.
You should use newcarsales.com.
all depends on the size of your site, and what else you will be selling.. If your concentrating just on new cars sales, then get that in your domain name,, as this will rank better,, but if your going to build an authority type site then leave your self options so that you can expand,, then the car.com/ would be a better option.. you also need to look at the competetion for both and ,, take into acount how traffic will be coming to this site,,, organic?? or paid?? this will change your option again..
hope this helps
You should use something that your visitors will remember you by; something that ties your brand into the domain. Your chances are better that the visitor will return if they can remember your URL especially if you deliver a great user experience.
