    Question what should be the keyword density and keyword frequency in a page?


    Keywords are the prime factor in optimization. There could be lot of keywords for a webpage, some are ideal keywords and others are nearby.
    I always in prompt about keyword density and there frequency.

    What is correct proportion of keyword density and keyword frequency for optimizing a webpage optimum?

    Good question. I asked the same thing about a month ago and got a hundred different opinions. Best to look at the market you are going after, check out the top sites, see what is working for them. Incorporate that into your own site along with your own ideas. Build a lot of good, keyword rich content--in natural sounding language. Get links from relevant sites, using your keywords in the anchor text. Eventually your site will do well. I would say stay under 10% for keyword density.

    A good general reason for staying under 10% keyword density is to keep it sounding natural when you read it. It's really not much more complex than that to me. Others may have more detailed reasons.

    I think good use of your keywords is somewhat important for rankings, but the thing to remember is that what is important now (backlinks, for example) may not be important in the future, and the relatively unimportant may suddenly become vital. Search engines change all the time.
