    Is using Long-tail Keyphrases more Beneficial?

    Hi guys,

    Quick question;

    I was wondering whether or not using long-tail key-phrases, rather than one or two words, would be more beneficial as links?

    Thank you for your time,

    JMHeywood

    The idea behind long tail key phrase strategies are that:
    a) the competition is lower and therefore you can get to the top alot easier
    b) the conversion rates are a lot better as people are searching for specific things so as long as your website is relevant you will get more relevant traffic hence better conversion.

    So yes long tail are better, but you will need to concentrate on lots of long tail phrases for it to be an effective strategy

    The idea is, you should focus on long tail keywords first, because you can start getting customers that way.

    Then, for the longer run, focus on short tail keywords, as they get you better customers.

    For short term, its very important to keep sales coming in, so you can stay motivated

    It's important to have both of them - long and short tail. Everything depends on competition. When competition for keyword is low and it describes properly your service - it doesn't matter if it's long

    I agree... Targeting long-tailed keywords first will give you a great foothold in your journey to target short-tailed keywords...

    Rather than single or Two phrase word long tail keywords are beneficial, because are low in competition, and can easily get ranked, but while using long tail keywords..... The point is to keep in mind........ use those keywords which easily access by users/internet surfers. So you can get benefit of it.

    Ya! Long tail keywords are more easily ranked in SERP, and you can rank long tell keywords even without doing any type of link building services. Blogging is a good process for getting better rank for long tail keywords. Only you have to update the quality and latest content by targeting some long tail keywords, then you will definitely get better rank.
