Take into account one or two top phrases you might want for a specific page. Consider variations of those phrases. Each page should have its own, unique set of keywords and none of these sets should be too similar. Always, always consider user intent when developing this list.

Try to look at Google Keyword Planner. Google provides you with tutorials on how to do that. I also suggest you look for online tutorials on Google Planner and how you can get good keywords using that tool.

When it comes to keyword research, always remember that good keywords need to be one or more of these factors: buyer-intent, emergency keyword, long tail keyword, product keyword. These kinds of keywords can convert visits from sales. Good luck!

The Adwords keyword tool no longer exists. Keyword Planner is now what Google would have you use.

As the prior posts mentioned, get familiar with the tools. Some others to consider, dave naylor's keyword density tool, seomoz's term target tool, ranks.nl keyword density & prominence analyzer.

Some specific advise; Pick the right number of keywords. Most advertisers find it useful to have somewhere btw 5 & 20 keywords per ad group, although you can have more. Each ad group should have keywords that directly relates to that groups theme. You don't need to include other variations of your keywords, like possible misspelling or plural version. Keywords of two or three words (a phrase) ten to work most effectively.

Keyword researching, and finding the best keywords with low competition is really hard. Keywords play a very important role in SEO and SERP. Targeting the best keywords for your website can make your website appears on the first page of Google with a lot of impressions .
By targeting low competition keywords can make it less stringent for you to compete rank on the first page of Google.

The purpose of keyword research is to rank for a keyword that'll deliver traffic. The keyword should have the following attributes. Relevant to the blog post topic, suitable amount of traffic, somewhat easy to rank for on search engines.

You do keyword research to find keywords that have the attributes above.

Take note that you'll need to practice as much as possible in order to develop the skill of selecting the best possible keywords for your pages.

    Step one: Brainstorm.
Based on the topic of your blog post, brainstorm a list of keywords you think people would search if they needed the information your writing about within the post. You'll use the words on the brainstorm list as seed keywords.

Step two: Use the seed keywords in a keyword tool.
The tool I'd start with would be the Google keyword planner. Just do a search for google keyword planner and you'll find it. Note: once you've become comfortable with the keyword planner, expand into more tools.

The seed keywords will help you discover more keyword ideas. The keyword planner will reveal how much traffic those keywords generate per month. Pick keyword ideas that may deliver suitable amount of traffic to that post, and is highly relevant to your blog post. Create a new list of keyword ideas with good traffic.

Step Three: Do keyword competition analysis.
This is useful to help you avoid keywords that are too difficult to rank for. To make this step easy I'd use the Moz keyword difficulty tool, simply google that to find it. I think it's free for 30 days and then a fee. Otherwise use other tools or do research to figure out how to do this manually.
