SE Position Changed
Hello Everyone:
Yesterday I published the new version of my website which now contains only CSS and inline style terms. Whereas before it had standard html and obsolete terms. I was on page 20, and working my way upwards with good quality backlinks. Today, however, I got a real shock. When I checked my search engine position, I had dropped drastically. Is this supposed to happen?? Is this normal?? Now I am number 372, 634, and 827 under major keywords. This sticks. Will I gain my original position back?? Thanks, Debbie N. |

Deb... It is very common to drop in the SERPs when major onpage changes are made. As long as you maintained content (did not change content) or rename the page files you should recover. Be patient and wait a bit before you panic.

Oh, thank you, thank you for those comforting words. I changed only a bit of content. The majority of the content was exactly the same. I did not rename the page.
I will check my se position over the next few days to see how I'm doing. This morning I could have cried because I worked so hard to get the se position I had. But now I'm breathing easier after your post. Thank you, thank you. Debbie N. |
