Inktomi "merging" Yahoo MSN Altavista Lycos AlltheWeb
currently makes them co-King of the Search Engines So, for the Time Being, META KEYWORDS have made a comeback of sorts.... Programatically, using a COMMA or Using SPACE - is there a difference - WHICH will affect WHAT - HOW - WHY

First off; meta keywords have always been used, just not the way they have been in the past, nor are they weighted the same as in the past.
Secondly, in my experience (which must be taken with a grain of salt because my testing has been far from exhaustive), keywords (and phrases) should be seperated by a comma with no space (ie. kw1,kw2,kw3). One note: It would seem that the keyword meta tag comes in very handy regarding common misspellings and alternate meanings. |
