Need help with html audio code

I was given the code below to make it possible so that when my website opens up to a visitor talking starts. Inside of the code is the mp3 file name I used when I recorded it, when I preview the site nothing happens yet my videos do play on preview. Please take a look at this code and write me back with any changes that will make it work. I am just beginning to learn coding.

<embed src="C:\Documents and Settings\Cliff\Desktop\WBT AUDIO 10.mp3" autostart="true" height="45" width="200">

Nooooooooooooooo! Please, don't do this. Seriously. If you do you'll find so many people hitting the browser back button and never coming back.

Web users don't like surprises, and finding the page talking to them when they don't expect it is about as big a surprise as you can find. By all means have audio, but play it only when the user wants it to be played and actively clicks a play button. It'll also give anyone with their speakers turned off the opportunity to turn them on first. I always browse the web with the speakers off -- just in case I stumble on sites like yours ;)

You could try Wimpy (not free, but then not exactly expensive either), or try a Google search for a free one - there's plenty out there.
